Key message

In 2021, the energy reduction in the energy efficiency obligation scheme (energy amounted to 610.4 GWh. A bigger share of the savings, 57%, was achieved through the implementation of energy efficiency (EE) and renewable energy source (RES) measures within the Eco Fund programs. The annual target value was exceeded by a third. For 2022, according to preliminary data, the achieved energy savings are estimated at 700.8 GWh, which is 15% more than the previous year and 53% above the target value. In 2023, the target value remains the same as in 2021 and 2022, but in 2024 it will increase to 745 GWh, which has never been achieved in the energy efficiency obligation scheme so far.
