In the period from 2005 to 2017, the gross balance surplus of nitrogen ranged from 42 to 69 kg per ha, with a minor reduction trend. The target value for 2020 is 53 kg N/ha. On average, over the past 5 years, this value has been achieved. Achieving the target will largely depend on the farmers' interest to accept Organic farming and the requirements of agri-environment-climate payments measures, as well as on the performance of the agricultural education system and the public agricultural advisory services.
