Energy consumption in transport has gradually increased after the fall of economic crisis. In 2011, he was equal highest proportion of traffic in the final energy consumption. Most of the energy is consumed in road transport and also the road transport is fastest growing.
The indicator shows the transport energy consumption by transport modes (road, railway, maritime) and energy types.
Energy consumption is expressed in energy units (ktoe – thousand tonnes of oil equivalent). For the conversion from mass units, calorific values of individual fuels are used.
