Key message
Neutral

The use of plant protection products (PPPs) in Slovenia has been decreasing in the last twenty years, from 2031 tonnes in 1992 to 1134 tonnes in 2010. Despite significant decrease
it is still wider than in most other EU countries. Fungicides represent more than two thirds of all PPPs used in Slovenia, although their use has been radically reduced in the last three years. In 2010, the total use of PPPs was 5.7 kg per hectare, which is the lowest use of PPPs in the observed period.
