[HR04] Exposure to traffic noise in Ljubljana
Key message
The number of inhabitants who live in the impact area of major roads and railways in Ljubljana and are exposed to high noise levels did not change significantly between 2012 and 2017, and is not decreasing in accordance with the set objectives.
It is estimated that around 47,600 inhabitants are exposed to high road traffic noise levels throughout the day. Although the number of inhabitants who live in the impact area of railways and are exposed to high noise levels is smaller than the number of inhabitants exposed to high noise levels along the network of roads considered, the number of inhabitants who are exposed to the highest noise levels has recently further increased. Their numbers were 6,392 in 2012 and 7,554 in 2017.
