Specific greehouse gases (GHG) emissions in the residential sector amounted to 9.9 kg CO₂ eq/m² in 2017, which is 3 % less than a year before. The reduction was largely due to the reduction of GHG emissions from the use of fuels in this sector. Specific emissions were 8 % below the indicative annual target value and to achieve the 2020 target they will have to be reduced by a further 11 % or by 0.4 kg CO₂ eq/m² per year, which is slightly more than the reduction achieved in the last year.
