[MR08] Nutrients in the coastal waters

Key message
Good

Nutrients, especially nitrogen and phosphorus substances, allow the growth of algae and higher plants. Long-term measurements of selected nutrients show that their concentrations have noticeably decreased at all sample sites in the Slovenian sea over a longer period of time. The ecological condition of the Slovenian sea on the basis of nutrients was also assessed as very good in 2017.

Nutrients, especially nitrogen and phosphorous substances, enable the growth of algae and higher plants. The ecological status of the Slovenian sea on the basis of nutrients was also estimated to be very good in 2017.mr04
